To Observe the 5th  World Autism Awareness Day & 8th anniversary of AWF  workshop on “Training And Education Of Autistic Children And Adult” was organized by AWF on April 10, 2012 at AWF premises spans 2 days long,  sponsored by AB Bank Ltd . The program was inaugurated by Ms Nasima Begum, DG (NDC), Department of Social Welfare, Dhaka   the  as chief guest & Mr. Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury, DGM, AB Bank Limited as special guest. Dr. Rownak Hafiz, Chairperson of the organization was the  key note speaker   of the workshop. About 36 parents from Dhaka & other districts of Bangladesh alongwith 20 teachers of AWF was attend the event to acquire knowledge to treat the specials. The workshop aims to teach the proper tips & techs to flourish the hidden talents of the children with special skills. One of the most important topic of the workshop was “implementation of evidence based practices in classroom and home”.

It is to be mentioned that Dr Rownak Hafiz recently completed a month long training program on “model of intervention for children and youth with autism”, conducted by National Professional Development Centre on ASD in Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This training was sponsored by Autism Speaks and GAPH Bangladesh.

The workshop is her noble steps of sharing knowledge with the autism family to develop the autistic children in proper way.

Most of the gifted children are have an excellent skills in arts & paintings.  To enrich their special skills in this area AWF exerted lots of efforts throughout the year. AWF arranges bi-yearly art-exhibition to exhibited the artworks of their divine kids.

In 2012: The exhibition spans April 05-12, 2012 at AWF premises. The special artwork of each student are shown in the exhibition so nicely. The exhibition shows really something special to enjoy.

The Exhibition was inaugurated by – Mr Ranjit  Kumar Biswas, Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare with the special presence of Mr. Chandra Shekhor Shaha, the well known Fashion designer,  Mr.  Mesbahul Haque , Director, AB Bank Ltd,

The occasion is inaugurated by Dr. Sharmeen Yasmin, Member of AWF Management Committee. The children observed the day by remembering the devoted Bangali braves with flowers & songs who had sacrificed themselves for their mother language. the whole program is performed by these angels with love and affection to their motherland & language. The program is nicely anchored by three special children of Kanoon, school to carry educational & special training of AWF.

PM visited AWF stall & received the compliments of AWF

To observe the 5th World Autism Awareness Day  nation-wide, the Ministry of Social Welfare of Bangladesh  organized an special programs at Osmani  Memorial Auditorium on 02 April, 2012.  The  honorable Prime Minister  Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the occasion as the Chief Guest . The cultural event of the occasion was  participated by the autistic angels of the nation. A handicraft exhibition decorated with the products  made by the specials was also displayed as a part of the occasion.

Autism Welfare Foundation has participated in the occasion both in cultural events & exhibition .

ShoishabBangladesh – a growing  fashion house    selected the artworks of 12 special kids from AWF & prepared dresses printing those individual artworks. They exhibited the dresses on December 01, 2010 through a fashion show & awarded the special artists with certificate arranging a nice program titled “ Shundor  Prithibi  Sajate Amra Cholbo Eksathe “ ( We will go together to present a beautiful earth) before the opening of those dresses available at their different showrooms & outlets.
